CAMEROON: Also known as the Indomitable Lionesses will be making their 12th appearance in the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations. They have never missed the tournament since 1998, and having finished as runners-up 3 times, they will be looking to do better and lift the trophy this time around.

ZAMBIA: Nicknamed the She-Polopolo or the Copper Queens, Zambia will be making their 3rd appearance in Women’s AFCON. They have failed to progress beyond the group stage in their previous appearances in 2014 and 2018 and having only one win, they will be looking to do better this time.

TUNISIA: The Carthage Eagles earned qualification to this year’s WAFCON by defeating Egypt 7-2 on aggregate, and beating Equatorial Guinea 7-3 also on aggregate in the final round. They finished bottom of Group B with 1 point in their first WAFCON appearance in 2008, and will be looking to do better this time.

FRIENDLY MATCHES PLAYED SINCE FEBRUARY 2022

Tunisia 0-0 Senegal

TOGO: A first appearance for the Female Sparrowhawks in their history and they will be looking to shine on the big stage. They qualified for this year’s tournament after defeating Sao Tome and Principe 5-0 in the first leg of the first round of qualifiers and went through to the second round after their opponents withdrew before the second round. They saw off Gabon 4-2 on aggregate in the final round.
